Copper Creek’s extraordinary staff is at the heart of our work. Our experienced, committed professionals are well-versed in the landscape design and construction process, and get excited about the creation of innovative solutions—solutions that are tailored to each individual site, and to the desires of the client. We’re dedicated to collaboration, and to using our deep well of knowledge to make our clients’ dreams a reality.

Matt Barton founded Copper Creek Landscaping in the spring of 2003, after graduating from Washington State University with his degree in Landscape Architecture.  Matt’s journey into the landscape profession started at a young age mowing lawns for family, friends, and neighbors.  What started small has progressed into a passion for the landscape industry, and an opportunity for local construction trades touching every aspect of the outdoor environment.

Matt has a beautiful wife and three lovely children.  When not designing, you can find him in the stands or coaching his children’s sporting events, or outdoors enjoying all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.  His outdoors adventures are where he finds his inspiration for creating wonderful and lasting works of art.

He is thrilled to partner with you on your next project.  Let’s collaborate to bring your vision to life and create something truly special for you and your family.

Jennine graduated from Gonzaga University’s School of Business in 2007, bringing her administrative skills to the Copper Creek team in 2019.  Her favorite days at the office are when new trees are delivered, or when a new spreadsheet needs to be built!  Outside of work, Jennine prefers to be on an adventure in the woods with her family, usually with at least one of her three dogs in tow.

Louis was drawn to the Northwest after years of schooling in Italy. A Landscape Architect with decades of experience in Design/Build, look to him to bring a contemporary interpretation to your landscape. He enjoys home remodel and cooking. When the weather permits, you will find him cycling or kayaking local trails and waters.

Garrett joined Copper Creek in the summer of ’19. He moved his family to Northern Idaho that same year after growing up and living in Southern California his whole life. He brings almost 20 years of experience in the landscape industry – everything from digging ditches and planting trees to his current role as our sales manager.  His favorite part of the Copper Creek process is helping our customers with material selections and planting day!  In his personal time, he is Daddy to two little girls, husband to his lovely wife and enjoys being outdoors, hunting, hiking, playing golf and working around the house.

Beth joined Copper Creek in 2023 as a Designer/Creator, bringing her technical skills and creativity in design to our team. She is passionate about creating functional and beautiful spaces for our clients, and supports various aspects of our design process. In her spare time, Beth is out exploring the Pacific Northwest and enjoying time with family.

Tim has been a member of the Copper Creek team since early days in 2004.  As Construction Manager, he blends technical expertise with a strong sense of design.  His day-to-day focus is on the tactical and logistical aspects of your project’s construction.  In his off hours, he enjoys quality time with his family, and regenerative dryland farming.
